Birth Doula

While pregnant with my son, I discovered doulas.  While pregnant with my daughter, I found a calling to become a doula.

I have been a preschool teacher, as well a military electronics technician.  From my experience, I know I have a strong ability for problem solving with a desire to help and work with others.  I feel that being a doula is a blending of these skills.

Currently, I have received doula training from DONA, International, a highly respected doula organization.  I am currently working towards certification from DONA and for Certified Infant Massage Instructor.  Starting in January 2010, I will begin training to obtain an Associates in Therapeutic and Clinical Massage
